Aluminum grating has unmatched strength-to-weight ratio when compared with steel grating and stainless steel grating. Owing to its excellent corrosive resistance to all weathers, aluminum gratings need no maintenance after installation. Corrosion resistant, non-sparking, rustproof aluminum grating has many applications due to its light weight and high strength. It is ideally suited for use in corrosive environments and finds wide applications as walkways and platforms in sewage treatment plants, refineries, chemical processing plants, pumping and compressor stations, and aboard ships and barges.Aluminum grating is designed to be a high-strength, low-weight product that uses an I-bar or rectangular bearing bar with cross rods hydraulically swaged under high pressure. Thus, giving you a rigid, virtually maintenance-free flooring, ceiling or louvres product.
Duty Options:
Aluminum bar grating can be divided into two groups according to its load capabilities - light duty and heavy duty. The thicknesses and depth of bearing bars mainly decide the load ability. Generally speaking, standard gratings are 3/16" and 1/8 thick and heavy duty gratings are 1/4", 5/16" and 3/8" in thickness.
