Heavy Duty Steel Grating with 30 and 40mm Bearing Bar Pitch for Heavy-Load Industrial Scenarios

1. Specifications

• Bearing Bar: Common sizes include 25×3mm, 25×4mm, 30×5mm, 40×5mm, 50×5mm, 75×10mm, etc.; optional types are plain type, serrated type and I-type, with serrated type recommended for slip-prone areas. US standard sizes such as 1''×3/16'', 1-1/4''×3/16'' are also available.
• Bearing Bar Pitch: Range from 12.5mm to 60mm, with 30mm and 40mm as the most commonly recommended pitches for industrial scenarios; 60mm pitch is specially designed for mining industry to prevent mineral splashing.
• Cross Bar: Diameter ranges from 5mm to 8mm, with square twisted bars or round bars as common types; cross bar pitch is 38mm, 50mm, 76mm or 100mm, among which 50mm and 100mm are widely used.
• Overall Dimensions: Length can be customized from 1m to 12m, width from 0.6m to 1.2m (customizable according to project needs); allowable deviation: length +0/-5mm, width ±5mm; non-perpendicularity of bearing bar shall not exceed 10% of its width.

2. Material

• Carbon Steel: Q235B and Q345B are the most commonly used. Q235B has a tensile strength of 370-500MPa and yield strength of 235MPa, suitable for general heavy-duty indoor and outdoor dry environments; Q345B has a tensile strength of 470-630MPa and yield strength of 355MPa, with 50% higher load-bearing capacity than Q235B, suitable for more demanding scenarios such as port terminals and power plants.
• Stainless Steel: 304 and 316L. 304 stainless steel has a tensile strength of 205MPa, with good corrosion resistance, suitable for medium-corrosion environments; 316L stainless steel has a tensile strength of 290MPa, excellent resistance to acid, alkali and salt corrosion, suitable for harsh environments such as chemical plants and coastal areas, achieving 15-year maintenance-free operation in corrosive scenarios.
• Low-Alloy Steel: High-strength low-alloy steel is optional for extreme heavy-load scenarios, which can significantly enhance local compressive strength through optimized structure design.

3. Color

• Hot-Dip Galvanizing: The default color is silver-white, light gray or light yellow; after passivation treatment, colors such as blue-green, black or yellow can be obtained, which has excellent weather resistance and corrosion resistance, suitable for outdoor municipal projects, bridges and industrial plants.
• Powder Coating/Painting: A variety of colors are available, including industrial-style dark gray, black, commercial-style light blue, off-white, and warning colors such as red and yellow for special areas. Outdoor scenarios adopt sun-resistant and anti-aging coatings to avoid fading, while indoor scenarios can be customized according to decoration style.
• Stainless Steel Natural Color: Silver-white metallic luster, no additional surface treatment required, suitable for high-end commercial or food processing areas requiring clean and corrosion-resistant performance.

4. Application

• Industrial Fields: Petrochemical plants, power plants, mining areas, automobile manufacturing plants, logistics warehouses, etc., used as industrial platforms, maintenance walkways, equipment support platforms, trench covers and heavy machinery operation areas, able to bear dynamic loads of forklifts, cranes and other equipment.
• Municipal Engineering: Bridges, overpasses, pedestrian walkways, drainage ditches, parking lots, etc., used as floor slabs, drain covers and stair treads, with anti-slip and corrosion-resistant performance to adapt to outdoor harsh environments.
• Special Scenarios: Port terminals, coastal areas, chemical corrosion areas, high-temperature workshops, etc., customized according to environmental characteristics to ensure stable performance in extreme conditions.

5. Key Parameters

• Load-Bearing Capacity: Static load capacity ranges from 1000kg/m² to 2000kg/m² for heavy-duty type, and above 2000kg/m² for extra-heavy type; uniform distributed load (UDL) ≥5kN/m², concentrated load (CL) ≥20kN, dynamic load requires an additional 20%-30% safety margin; maximum span of heavy-duty grade (Grade B) can reach 1.5m with CL ≥30kN.
• Corrosion Resistance: Hot-dip galvanizing coating thickness ≥80μm, corrosion resistance life ≥15 years in general environment; 316L stainless steel can resist acid-base corrosion for a long time; passivation treatment can further improve corrosion resistance of galvanized products.
• Welding Standard: Adopts automatic welding process, weld strength ≥90% of the base metal, no welding defects such as cracks and pores; cross bar surface shall not exceed bearing bar surface by 1mm, and the two ends of cross bar shall not exceed the grating side surface by 2mm.
• Executive Standards: GB/T 700 (China), ASTM A36/A123 (US), EN 10025/EN 1090 (EU), AS 1657 (Australia), YB/T 4001.1-2007 (China steel grating standard).
• Weight: Calculated according to material density and structural size, generally 30-100kg/m², specific weight can be customized according to specifications.
